Goldenseal Cleaning Company was founded by Marcus Webb in 2018. That year, Marcus noticed it was an opportunity to create a small niche cleaning company based around high school football postgame cleaning. The main goal was to help alleviate workload for over worked and under paid school custodians. The impact of Goldenseal Cleaning Company was immediate throughout the region providing a cleaning alternative for high schools dealing with custodian shortages. From 2019 to 2022 Goldenseal captivated communities across East Tennessee, even being featured on Mark Packer's Rivalry Thursday, and cleaning after multiple ESPN High School Showcase games.
Today the company has grown from a niche cleaning business to a company that staffs 11 full time employees and 12 seasonal employees . After 6 years in business, Goldenseal Cleaning Company now has cleaning contracts with Knox Catholic High School, Knoxville Christian School, St John
Neumann School, and Covenant Health Medial Group. Despite the growth, the company has not left its roots. Goldenseal still continue to serve the region by providing postgame cleaning after high school football games.
